BARBER BATTLE COMPETITION

This event will give professionals an opportunity to test their skills against the most elite and talented barbers in friendly competition. We welcome all to join us as we bring you an amazing event full of excitement, networking, and entertainment

FASTEST FADE – 15 MIN

This competition is for the fastest fade in Miami. Your Haircut must be done. in 15 minutes. Models must have at least a #2 length all around. No pre-cut, no lines, no Tape ups. Hair will be cut to no lower that 1 1/2 on top to bald on sides. Barbers will be judged on the speed, blend of the fade, how tight the line is, and the overall cleanliness of the haircut. Judges will take into consideration on difficulty of the Haircut in the 15 minutes. Just because you finish first does not mean u win. Use time wisely .

FREE-STYLE DESIGN – 60 MIN

This Category is for  barbers that want to show off their Refined skills from the Easiest to the Hardest design. Barbers will be judged on how creative and clean their Haircut and design is. .(Whole Haircut has to be on point not just Design Portion)  There is no color used in this competition during or Before(No PRE-PAINT). Strictly Blades and Clippers. No stencils . You can use a Reference (Phone, Picture, Drawing ETC.) Absolutely NO DRAWING ON THE HEAD OF ANY SORT (SPRAY PENCIL MARKER ETC).There are to be no PRE-CUTS. Models must have at least a #2 all around not to be cut shorter than 1 and a half. Barbers will be judged on the complexity, creativity, the design, and overall haircut. Theme Outfits would be nice but does not Guarantee a win.

TRADITIONAL CUT - 45 MIN

 Traditional Cut - With 45 minutes each barber must use clippers , shears, blow dryer,hot iron  as they do an old traditional cut that looks good. Any Traditional look goes. Push Back, Comb Over , Pompadour. Nice clean work. IF you have a question PLEASE ASK..

PLEASE NOTE: Competition is open to all ages , minors under 18 must have parental / guardian consent to participate. The competition fee of 75.00 includes 2 weekend exhibit hall entry for the competitor and their model(s). (One model per battle).

Overall Competition Rules
1. All contestants must bring a live model and barbering tools in order to participate in competition. The competition fee includes 2 weekend exhibit hall entries for the competitor and model. Model numbers will be given to all participating models once confirmed and check in at the registration area.
2. All models’ hair must be cut at competition. Competitor is not allowed to cut, trim, shape or preset model’s hair before the competition begins. Semi- permanent color, permanent color, light color sprays and chalks are allowed unless otherwise noted. Barber must show a transformation of the model’s hair. The judges will inspect model’s hair during pre-judging or during check-in. Violation of this rule will result in the deduction of points and/or disqualification from competition.
3. All contestants must check in at the registration area at least one hour prior to the battle. If contestant is late, they will forfeit their place in the competition and their paid entry fee or fees. Please look for “Check In” when you arrive to the battle.
4. All contestants will have a specific time to complete their particular cut and style. Judging will be conducted on a visual basis only. Judges will use a point system on a scale of one (lowest possible score) to ten (highest possible score). If there is a tie in a category or prize placement, the judges will determine the final winner.
*ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT THE VENUE BY 2 PM.

Photography/Video Release:

Cuanthom Productions reserves the right to photograph, videotape, film or reproduce in any medium, any entry in the Barber Battle for any future use, with no compensation to entry owner, participant or spectator. Upon entering the event, the entrant surrenders all claims.

LIABILITY:

By submitting this application, entrant for and on behalf of himself/herself and his/her respective heirs, companies, partnerships, corporations, consultants, agents, advisors, fiduciaries, management personnel, executors, personal representatives, administrators, insurers, trustee, successors, assigns, switchmen and all owners and operators of the car, truck, van, bike and/or motorcycle (collectively, “Vehicle”) entered hereunder (collectively, the “Indemnifying Party”) agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Cuanthom Productions,llc, TEN - THE ENTHUASIAST NETWORK llc., it subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions and its and their respective present, former and future officers, directors, shareholders, board members, management personnel, consultants, advisors, predecessors, parents, representatives, servants, holding companies, employees, attorneys, agents, contractors, subcontractors, representatives, insurers, fiduciaries, successors and assigns including, but not limited to, Cuanthom Productions, llc, LOWRIDER EVENTS, LOWRIDER MAGAZINE,TEN - THE ENTHUASIAST NETWORK llc, all event sponsors and owners and operators of the event facility (collective, the “Indemnified Party”) from and against any and all damages, claims, liabilities, judgments, fines, penalties, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) and losses (collectively, “Claims”) arising out of or in connection with (a) a breach by the Indemnifying Party of any rule, regulation, requirement, term, warranty, covenant, representation or condition contained in this application and/or in the 2015/2016 Official Rules and (b) damage to tangible personal property, for personal injury and/or death proximately caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of the Indemnifying Party. The Indemnifying Party further agrees to accept any and all responsibility and liability for the risk of loss, damage, destruction and injury (including death) to his/her person, the Vehicle, displays and all other personal property and related items belonging to him/her and/or which are in his/her care, custody, possession or control before, during and after the show and hereby fully and voluntarily assumes all such risks and for good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, releases the Indemnified Party from any and all Claims arising out of or in connection therewith. Entrant further acknowledges, affirms and represents that he/she has obtained any and all necessary insurance ,consents, waivers, releases and authorizations required to execute and enter into this application on behalf of and bind each and every Indemnifying Party hereto. This application shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without reference to or application of principles of choice of law. In any proceeding arising from or related to the enforcement and/or interpretation of this Application, the Indemnified Party as prevailing party shall be entitled to recover its costs, which includes reasonable attorneys’ fees, against the non-prevailing party. No modification, alteration, waiver or change in any of the terms of this Application shall be valid or binding upon the Indemnified Party unless made in writing and duly executed by the Indemnified Party from whom a waiver is sought. The provisions of this Application shall be severable, and if any of them are held invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be adjusted to the minimum extent necessary to cure such invalidity. The invalidity or unenforceability of one provision shall not affect any other.

It is distinctly understood and agreed that in no case shall Cuanthom Productions,llc, or sponsors or any organization involved with the show, be held responsible for any actual or consequential loss, damage, theft or injury of any character to any person, vehicle or article during, before and/or after the Car Show Hours. Entrants are responsible for any damage to the floor, walls or equipment made in the space or spaces leased to him, except that which may be expected in normal use.
I will abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the facility, and will accept the Official Judges in determination of the winners.
Failure to comply with any of the above regulations will result in disqualification.

to inform all person involved in their booth and/or car club of rules and regulation.
